Mr. Broyles has been in education for 32 years and has enjoyed opportunities to teach, sponsor clubs, coach, and work with students to achieve every kind of interest and goal. Originally from the Tidewater region, Mr. Broyles grew up on his family farm before serving in the USCG. While serving his country he attended community college and then transferred to Virginia Tech to earn his BS in Education. He further obtained his Master’s in Administration and Supervision from VCU. Mr. Broyles credits much of his desire to work in education to his mom, a 34 year veteran high school chemistry teacher, and his father, with 50+ years as a machinist..both tremendous teachers.
Mr. Broyles enters his 14th year as principal of Monacan and is the proud father of two Chesterfield County Public Schools graduates, one being a 2019 Monacan Chief and he is married to a Class of 86’ graduate! Mr. Broyles enjoys working with students and faculty, water sports of all kinds, mountain biking, and teaching whenever and wherever the opportunity is at!
