History

Monacan High school opened in 1979. In the fall of 2000, the Center for the Humanities opened.

The fall of 2013 saw the opening of the Health and Physical Therapy Specialty Center.

The Chief wearing the school colors of orange, black and white with brown trim is the school mascot.
